The Northeast Louisiana Reading Council is part of the Louisiana Reading Association, an affiliate of the International Reading Association. These are the largest professional educational organizations and are commended for their excellent promotion of literacy and content knowledge. They provide exceptional professional development for educators and others who may interested in effective literacy achievement in the region.
Membership dues of $20 are due beginning July 1 of each year and expire at the end of June the following year. Upon receipt of the membership form and payment of dues, the membership director responds with an electronic membership card that may be printed for verification for reduced registration for attending LRA conferences or mini-conferences.
LRA/NELRC Membership of 2 years is required for the many LRA awards and scholarships.
